Erica Lane Harvey is one of South Dakota’s most decorated and accomplished young photographers! She graduated with honors from the renowned Brooks Institute in 2003 with a degree in photojournalism. She then worked for Robert Sharp & Associates Advertising Agency in Rapid City, S.D., as a videographer and photographer and stayed working in the commercial realm until 2005 where she decided to venture out on her own. She was unsure where her real passion was though until 2014 when her passion for nature photography and education drew her to re-brand her business into Erica Lane Photography, LLC. She is an active member of the Professional Photographers of America organization (PPA) member and was recently awarded Diamond Photographer of the year and her image "Nothing Like Mom's Homemade Clam Chowder" won first place in the Landscape/Nature Category at the Grand Imaging Awards in Nashville. Erica's dedication to her craft has allowed her to quickly earning merits towards higher degrees that the association bestows, most recently earning both her Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman at the Imaging USA conference in 2019. Erica’s eye, energy, and passion for conservation give her images a unique and natural appearance of the best scenery that this world has to offer. She spends many months of the year traveling and photographing breathtaking places. She and her work can also be found in galleries and art festivals throughout the Midwest.
